Ardmore Little Theater

Martin was involved in Ardmore Little Theatre for over 40 years. He often played lead or supporting roles in musicals or comedies. His first big role was playing the part of Moonface Martin in the musical Anything Goes. In two productions, Where’s Charley and Greater Tuna, Martin had to play both male and female characters, changing in and out of a dress numerous times. One of his more famous parts was the character of Luther Billis in South Pacific where he had to roll his stomach and wear a coconut bra. In Lil’ Abner, Martin had to lead a burro on stage. This became quite challenging, but he soon learned that an apple would do the trick.
